schlamm:PE or kol:oss – Which Mudguard Is Right for Your Bike?
With the MTB mudguard set, you can choose the combination that best suits your bike. Both mudguards are mounted using cable ties and can be installed as a front mudguard or as a rear shock protector. The main difference lies in the coverage area as well as the recommended wheel and tyre sizes.
schlamm:PE is the compact standard version, designed for mountain bikes and e-MTBs with 20–29 inch wheels and tyre widths up to 2.6 inches. It offers the ideal balance of lightweight construction, reliable splash protection and a clean, low-profile look—perfect for trail riding, touring and everyday use.
kol:oss is the XL version, designed for mountain bikes and e-MTBs with 26–29 inch wheels and tyre widths up to 3.0 inches. Its larger coverage area provides even better protection against mud and water spray, making it the ideal choice for wide tyres, demanding trails and wet riding conditions.
Our tip: The wider your tyre, the larger your mudguard should be. This ensures optimum protection against mud and water spray while keeping your bike cleaner on every ride.
Front Mudguard & Rear Shock Protection
Both mudguards can be used flexibly. Mounted at the front, they protect against mud and water spray. Mounted at the rear, they serve as a shock protector, helping to keep the rear suspension clean from dirt, stones and spray.
